-Street signs are the titles of the page, it should be prominent at match what is on the page. while bread crumbs are what shows the path you have made from homepage which makes it easier for you to go back to a certain page
-For Example: on the Peirce college website if you look at the top left corner you will see the Pierce college (possibility.,realized.) plus the logo it sit on and if you go down to career path and click on it and go to arts, humanities, and communications. Once you click on it you will see arts, humanities, and communications at the top and that there is the (street sign) tells you where your at. And the bread crumbs would be at the top next to the search bar so you can get back to the main spots.
What I learned when it comes to making your own website, it is best to follow the common conventions because after a certain amount of people see something for so long it becomes a norm. In Chapter 3 of ” Do not Make ME Think” it explains how you can be innovative but just don’t veer too far off from what people are used to like you wouldn’t come to play a game of basketball with a football but, you could have uniforms that no one else has and still make it your own style. Also, when making a website to catch people eyes it’s good to have pictures that has a relation to what the page is about. Last but not least you have to make your page look appealing you don’t want to have too big of paragraphs, so people won’t get scared to read the whole thing also, make it easy for them to skim through. Make sure all the links you have on your page stick out a little so people can notice that there is a link there because you don’t want people to miss the information that link has. A big thing in this chapter is that if something is important on your page make it easy to be seen at the end of the day the most helpful website will be the most successful. If your website looks professional people will take it more seriously than a sloppy website with everything all cluttered.
project management plays a big part in creating a website. Anyone can go and just make a website but, is their website easy to use? Do you understand what you are seeing? This is a big part that project management plays in making a website. Project management helps you set up your website so, it will be easier for the viewer to use it. When websites are to hard to use it makes the viewers want to go to the next website and that’s not good for whatever your trying to promote/sell on your website. Also, Project management helps you think about what you need on your website to attract your target viewers. First time I made a website I didn’t know what project management was and as you would think my website failed terribly. When you would go on my site everything was clumped up if, you didn’t focus on the writing it was hard to find anything you were looking for. So, if I was you I would skip the trouble I went thru and find out what project management is. I don’t know all there is to project management but, the little I have learned already helped me more than I could imagine. Stay posted I will have more on project management soon thank you.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
